All Momega garments carry Movesense® sensors. Sensors detach, so one set moves between garments and between participants.

If they are Movesense Flash, MD or HR2, yes — those are the models the garments and the analyses are built around. Other sensors do not provide the accelerometer and gyroscope data in the format that the analyses need. Ask for a quote to customize analytics for other IMU sensor manufacturers.

MAIJU comes in five sizes by body length: 68, 74, 80, 86 and 92 cm. Choose the size that fits snugly at each sensor pocket while leaving the child free to move; the straps beside the pockets take up any slack. NAPPA sizing: ask in the quote request.

Take the sensors off first. MAIJU: machine wash at 40 °C with a detergent intended for synthetic materials, then check the pockets and seams for wear. NAPPA: machine wash at 40 °C with standard detergents. The sensors themselves are water resistant but are not meant for repeated laundry cycles.

The sensors run on a replaceable CR2025 coin cell. In the published recording protocol one cell lasted a full day (12–24 hours) of continuous streaming; battery brand and the Bluetooth conditions both affect it, and logging to the sensor's own memory instead of streaming draws less. Check the charge level in Tessalogger before a session.

The garments or the analytics are not as of yet a certified medical device in any jurisdiction.

A garment, sensors, and a device that runs the Tessalogger app. The app is included with every garment purchase. Tessalogger starts and stops recordings, downloads raw data to your own device, and uploads to Tessacloud when you have analytics. Further analytics run on the cloud and are purchased separately.

It depends on the sensor. Movesense MD and HR2 stream to the phone, so it has to stay within Bluetooth range — in practice the same room, or about ten metres. Movesense Flash logs to its own memory and is downloaded afterwards, so the phone can be put away. NAPPA computes its sleep measures in the sensor, so no model needs to stream for a night recording.

The raw data per sensor can be downloaded as ASCII .csv or binary .sbem files.

No. Garments and sensors are a one-time purchase and give you raw data through Tessalogger. Cloud analytics is a separate subscription.

The analytics pipelines are primarily cloud only. You can download the raw analysis outputs for further use on your own system. Ask for a quote on the pricing for a local deployment.

Tessacloud is hosted on Microsoft Azure servers, physically located in Sweden. Tessacloud does not store or process any sensitive patient data.

The customer is the data controller and Momega Ltd is the data processor.

Customer data is stored for 1 year after the end of subscription. The customer is the primary handler of the data and can delete it any time.

It is up to the research question. Typically research on human infants requires an approval from an ethics board. We are happy to provide supporting documentation for ethics applications.
